Description:
In the 7-speed S-tronic DL501 (0B5) transmission, hydraulic pressure control is provided by the N471/N472 combined pressure sensor integrated into the mechatronic unit. This is a single physical sensor with two separate measurement channels: one measures the main line pressure, while the other measures clutch control pressure, transmitting data to the transmission control unit.

The control unit uses this information to continuously adjust pressure, ensuring proper clutch operation and smooth gear shifts. Sensor failures can cause harsh or delayed shifts, vibration, slippage, and engagement of the transmission’s protective mode.
